Damsel Fly A damsel nymph imitation used when fishing rivers and lakes for trout, bass, and panfish (looks like the larger Dragon Fly).
Deceiver A bait fish fly imitation used in saltwater fishing.
Disc Drag One of the best developments in fly reels, this drag is usually adjustable and functions somewhat like the disc brakes on an automobile. Using a disc drag will help anyone land more fish.
Double Haul Involves hauling on both the forward and backward strokes. (See haul).
Drag Knob The part of the fly reel that adjusts the brake tension when line is pulled off the reel by the fly fisher or a fish. All Fly Logic fly reels feature knobs that are easy to grasp and centrally located.
